Suggestion: Can Collections have tags or subfolders for organization?

Hi there! I save quite a few designs as I’m going through on each image (usually max out and always looking for the next best pattern !) so I have to go back through to select the very best. It would be super helpful if I can categorize them with tags or subfolders to help selection process.

For instance, I can tag the ones that are stripes, large hero patterns, blenders or intended secondary patterns so then I only pick out the best 2 stripes from the tagged/subfoldered items if that makes sense? I know we have favorites, but this is a bit different.

Thanks!
Sara

Hi @Sara_G, I like the idea, but as we’ve set up right now technically, it would be no easy feat to do cross-collection searches or subfolders. I don’t suspect we’ll be adding such a feature soon.

However, using Favorites and Collections, you can do at least a bit of this:

Subgrouping your best patterns in a collection

Use the favorites feature to mark the designs you like best. This makes it easier to filter on those and help you review your favorites (or the opposite, those that didn’t make the cut yet).

This video shows you a couple more handy things you can do with favorites:

Favorites across collections

The final part of the video (Link to 2:20) above also shows you how to quickly run through multiple collections while only viewing the favorites and then copying any design you like to a new “best of the best” collection. This is making copies, so it’s a bit different than filtering, but could still be a helpful way to create new collections from existing ones.

Thanks for this video. Yes this will be helpful also. No worries about sub-folders - tags would be actually more helpful if you could do those. I’ll reply to your other comment about that.
